Weiherer Zapfenduster - Imperial Stout
The latest Franconian-Brazilian collaborative brew from Roland Kundmüller and Alexandre Bazzo is a pitch-black (in the local dialect, "zapfendusteres") Imperial Stout with a distinctive smoky malt note. Brewed to celebrate the International Week of the Bamberg district, it combines everything this top-fermented, strong beer style needs: a full body, notes of chocolate and coffee, and a warming effect that lingers. Our new friendship beer.
Weiherer Grischbeerla - Session IPA
Grischberla means "delicate being" in Franconian dialect. Our Weiherer Grischbeerla is also a lightweight – but only when it comes to alcohol, not flavor. A fruity and hoppy session IPA with Sultana, Cascade, Cashmere, Sabro, and Cryopop hops. The new collaborative brew with our friends at Fat Head's Brewery Ohio.
Weiherer Hopferla - IPA
Franconia, America, and hops. The Kundmüller brewery from Weiher and Fat Head’s from Ohio have already demonstrated with their collaborative Imperial IPA that these two flavors go well together. Now comes Hopferla, a West Coast-style India Pale Ale featuring seven hop varieties: Simcoe, Warrior, Centennial, Mosaic, Equinox, Citra, and Chinook, along with classic and caramel malts. Fruity, resinous, and hoppy.
Weiherer Imperial IPA
Sometimes things just "click" – beyond all limits. That's what brewmasters Roland Kundmüller and Matt Cole (Fat Head's Brewery) from Cleveland, Ohio, thought, and decided to brew a Franconian-American beer together. One that packs a punch. One that puts a smile on your face! The aroma of the hops already shows what they're capable of: grapefruit, passion fruit, pine – aromas that continue on the palate and are complemented by caramel notes. Surprisingly light for a beer specialty with 9% alcohol, the Weiherer / Fat Head's Imperial IPA impresses with gentle carbonation and a harmoniously robust bitterness. The Weiherer / Fat Head's Imperial IPA – brewed with classic and caramel malts as well as the four aroma hops Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra, and Zeus. Not for beginners!
Weiherer India Pale Ale
Weiherer India Pale Ale (IPA) pours a dark amber color with a fine, slightly creamy head. The aroma is dominated by hops—typical for this strong, top-fermented beer style—with fruity notes like grapefruit combined with woody aromas such as pine. On the palate, the caramel malts make their presence felt. Sweetness, a full body, and balanced carbonation are paired with the hop aromas, which are complemented by a distinct bitterness towards the end. Serving suggestion: Please smell first, then enjoy!
Weiherer Rolator - Double Bock
To celebrate Roland Kundmüller's 50th birthday, his team came up with something special. The staff secretly brewed a light, naturally cloudy double bock, dry-hopped with Spalter Select. The name, complete with a play on words, was quickly found: a combination of his first name and the suffix "-ator" for the strong beer. And now, it's not just the brewmaster who gets to taste it.
Weiherer Weizenbock
Weiherer Weizenbock pours a bright amber with a beautiful haze into the glass. Immediately, notes of ripe orange, banana, and caramel are noticeable. The first sip is a gentle carbonation that caresses the palate; the impression from the nose continues. Malt and hops create a sweet and refreshing interplay of aromas: caramel and lemon, ripe plum and grapefruit. The bock's strength completes the experience, leaving this beer specialty with a warming and lingering finish.
Weiherer Rauchbock
Beer connects people. Smoked beer even more so. That's why Brazilian craft brewer Alexandre Bazzo and brewmaster Roland Kundmüller first joined forces in 2014 to brew a smoked bock, amber-colored and warmingly smoky. The result is a testament to their friendship. And a treat they both love. Brewed with four malt varieties: Carared, Melanoidin, Smoke, and Pilsner malts, as well as Hallertauer Gold, Saphir, and Spalter Select hops.
Weiherer Rauchweizen - Weiherer x Oldskool
Franconian beer culture meets Dutch brewing artistry! This collaboration brew, Weiherer / Oldskool Rauchweizen, was created in partnership with Dennis Kort of Oldskool Brewery in Eindhoven. With intense smoky notes, inspired by the Dutch tradition of smoking fish, it combines the fruity aromas of banana and clove with a robust smoky flavor.
Weiherer Schwärzla - Schwarzbier
Our Franconian answer to an English stout. In the glass, a fine-pored, creamy-colored head sits atop a deep black, top-fermented beer. Subtle roasted notes of coffee and dried plums hint at what follows on the palate: dark chocolate and dried raisins embedded in a light body with a pleasant bitterness. The aromas of caramel, roasted, and specialty malts take center stage, and the creamy mouthfeel is the crowning glory of the Weiherer Schwärzla.
Weiherer Hopfenweizen
A classic top-fermented beer with a distinctive hop character: Weiherer Hopfenweizen is dry-hopped with Polaris, Cascade, and Citra, resulting in a fruity aroma and flavor. Crisp and refreshing.
Weiherer Summer Ale
Summer, sun, balmy nights. Weiherer Summer Ale is a beer for days like these. In the glass, Weiherer Summer Ale presents itself in a bright amber color with a strong haze and a snow-white head. The nose offers very gentle aromas of resinous pine and light caramel, while the taste is refreshingly crisp, fruity-hoppy, and with a delicate bitterness. Brewed with 7 hop varieties as well as classic, caramel, and pale ale malts.
Weiherer Grünhopfen Pils
The naturally cloudy Weiherer Grünhopfen Pilsner impresses with its delicate, grassy-green notes. It also boasts a light, not at all overpowering bitterness with typical Franconian Pilsner charm. Not just for hop lovers.
Weiherer Osw - Alt - Altbier
The OSw-ALT was originally created by the Weiherer employees as a one-off birthday present for their boss, Oswald Kundmüller. Because it was so well received, this Franconian Altbier is now available for everyone – pun intended. Altbier is a dark, top-fermented beer style traditionally brewed in North Rhine-Westphalia, in the greater Düsseldorf area. Our deep brown Franconian Altbier impresses with its delicate, nutty-malty aroma and a hint of raisin in the taste. Its light body and pleasantly mild effervescence make it a very drinkable beer. A beer for lovers of dark beer styles with a well-rounded character.
Weiherer Zapfenduster, aged in wooden barrels
Because beer writes history. The Weiherer Zapfenduster Imperial Stout, aged in wooden casks, is a beer specialty for life's warming moments. This special brew matured for seven months in a French oak barrel. The result is an exceptional beer specialty where the intensely woody notes of the barrel meet the roasty, yet velvety character of the Imperial Stout.
Weiherer Doppelbock Rum
Because beer writes history… Real Jamaican rum is a feast for the senses. Unlike other sugarcane spirits, it is characterized by long maturation in wooden barrels. The longer the aging, the more aromatic it becomes. What happens when a light double bock from the Franconian brewery Weiher is placed in a barrel that has previously held rum for 10 years is revealed in this special brew. And here, too, the senses are not disappointed: With aromatic vanilla and nutmeg on the nose, the amber-colored double bock makes you want to take the first sip from the very first whet your appetite. And the expectation is fulfilled: A full-bodied beer with harmonious sweetness, balanced carbonation, and notes of caramel and cocoa that intensify towards the end. The strong finish with only minimal hop bitterness rounds off this wood-aged beer specialty. The rum double bock is begging for a food pairing with dark chocolate and chili or red pepper.
Weiherer Weizenbock Sherry
Weiherer Weizenbock, aged in wooden barrels, is a specialty beer for life's special moments. This special brew matured for seven months in an oak barrel previously used for Spanish Pedro Ximénez sherry. The result is an exceptional beer where the sweet, woody notes of the barrel blend seamlessly with the fruity aromas of the lightly dry-hopped Weizenbock.
Weiherer Weizenbock Dornfelder
The Weiherer Weizenbock, aged in wooden barrels/Dornfelder, matured for eight months in an oak barrel previously used for Dornfelder wine from the Wagner winery in Staffelbach, grown on the southern slopes of Weiher (directly behind the brewery). The result is a symbiosis of two traditional Franconian beverages, combining the malty sweetness of the beer with the vanilla and earthy aromas of the wood and the crisp acidity of the wine. The initial taste is velvety smooth, accompanied by dried fruit and honey. This specialty beer finishes slowly, with a warming, fruity aftertaste reminiscent of gooseberries.
Weiherer Bock Bourbon Style
A light double bock, aged in American bourbon barrels – the Weiherer Bourbon Bock is the perfect specialty for anyone who likes to try something new. A robust malt body – paired with typical bourbon aromas like vanilla and a hint of smoke and wood – is balanced by the hops with a delicate bitterness and a warming finish. The Bourbon Bock – a connoisseur's beer, best enjoyed not in a small glass but in a special sommelier glass.
